Shane Breen Joins the TrojanTrack Team to Promote Early Detection and Enhanced Performance
TrojanTrack is pleased to welcome Irish showjumper Shane Breen to the team, working together to highlight how technology can support both horse welfare and performance.
With decades of experience at the top level, Shane understands the importance of spotting small changes early, before they become more serious.
“It’s prevention rather than cure. You’re spotting things straight off the mark, and then you’re on it immediately,” Shane says. “If it shows up where maybe there’s a little weakness in the hind end, I’d think maybe the work it does needs to include more trotting poles, more hill work – various things like that – just to build up the area. There might be a specific area where, in training, you can already start to improve that.”
TrojanTrack’s movement analysis works from a short walking video taken on a smartphone, detecting even subtle changes in gait. For Shane, the speed and simplicity make it practical to use as part of daily routines.
“One of the great things about it is you can just walk across the yard. It’s literally seven steps, and then you have your data. It’s that simple.”
By measuring movement objectively and consistently, TrojanTrack helps riders, trainers, vets, and owners make decisions based on clear evidence. The aim is to act quickly, reduce the risk of injury, and keep horses performing and feeling at their best.
